Job Summary
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse Sequoia (Redwood City). This role involves providing specialized care for neonatal patients, ranging from infancy to adult, within a Level IV NICU setting. The position emphasizes collaborative, patient-centered care that incorporates evidence-based practices and safety protocols to ensure optimal outcomes for vulnerable populations.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: BSN; Current California RN License; Current American Heart Association Certification for Basic Life Support (BLS); American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); American Academy of Pediatrics Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); Minimum of three (3) years current neonatal nursing experience in a Level IV NICU; proficiency in clinical equipment, computers, and technology; ability to guide and assist unlicensed assistive personnel as per the California Nurse Practice Act and organizational policies
  • Preferred Qualifications: N/A
  • Additional Information: The nurse will work closely with the healthcare team to deliver individualized care based on physical, psychosocial, cultural, educational, safety, and age considerations of assigned patients. Focus will be on expanding knowledge in evidence-based practice, safety, and patient-family-centered care, including involvement in advanced care planning and system safety initiatives.
