Description

Job Summary
Home Health Infusion (HH INFS) located in the Burlington, MA area. This position involves providing outpatient infusion services for adult patients with hematology, oncology, and medical conditions. The role includes administering chemotherapy, blood transfusions, and managing infusion pumps in an ambulatory setting, with orientation and training provided prior to start.

Job Details

  • Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: One year of experience with chemotherapy administration; BLS-AHA and ONS chemo provider card; recent infusion experience preferred; experience with PICC lines, IVADs, peripheral IVs, and infusion pumps such as Alaris and CADD.
  • Schedule: Dayshift, 10-hour shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Responsibilities include administering chemotherapy, medical infusions, blood transfusions, and operating infusion pumps. Accessing and deaccessing IVADs, starting peripheral IVs, and following unit-specific procedures and protocols are required.
  • Prior travel experience is preferred.
  • Floating to other units may be required, based on staffing needs. No float rotation is explicitly required for this assignment.
  • Must be separated from the previous employer for 6+ months and be in good standing.
  • Must have recent familiarity with Epic electronic health record system.
  • Orientation is one week, with required forms, learning, and competencies assigned prior to arrival.
  • The infusion center is attached to a hematology/oncology clinic with a patient volume of 60-110 patients per day, with each nurse covering 2-3 infusion chairs per shift.
