Critical Care Nurse, ICU Located in an intensive care unit, this position involves providing specialized nursing care to patients experiencing critical and complex health conditions including cardiac and respiratory cases. The role emphasizes autonomous practice and comprehensive patient care, supporting the healthcare team in delivering high-quality treatment in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
- Position Description: Provide nursing care for patients with conditions such as DKA, Acute Respiratory Failure, MIs, CABGs, Ventilators, and post-op cardiovascular surgeries. The ICU setting includes cardiac and medical patient care, with a patient nurse ratio of 2:1 for ICU patients and 4:1 for IMCU patients.
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing, current RN License in state of employment or compact, BLS certification via AHA, ACLS certification via AHA, 2 years of experience in ICU or similar clinical setting.
- Schedule: Nights shift from 7 PM to 7 AM, 48 hours per week guaranteed.
- Additional Information: Must have experience with Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps, Impellas, Post-op Cardiovascular surgeries, and CRRT. No floating required. Must be able to start as soon as possible.
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS required.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must be able to demonstrate competency in their clinical practice and complete organizational onboarding and competency validation.
