Job Summary
Ambulatory Care Medical Surgical Skilled nurse in Juneau, Alaska. This position involves providing clinical services within the Urgent Care Department, supporting patient care and clinic operations, and ensuring compliance with standards. The role requires active licensing and recent urgent care experience to deliver quality healthcare delivery in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

Job Details

  • Current full, unrestricted Registered Nursing license in Alaska. Agency staff must have an active Alaska license at time of submittal.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2 years of urgent care experience.
  • Knowledge of nursing process, customer service principles, and safety and infection control principles.
  • Skills in assessments, specimen collection, and use of medical equipment and computers.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be a team-player, willing to teach, and problem-solve using critical thinking skills.
  • Physical Demands: regularly talk or hear; frequently stand, walk, sit; use hands; reach; occasionally climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
  • Shift Details: Provide clinical services, oversee clinic operations including opening and closing provider clinics, maintain medication inventory, ensure quality control checks, document all patient care accurately, assist providers and staff, and communicate effectively across departments.
  • Submit applications through the designated process, ensuring all mandatory training and certifications are current.
