Job Summary
Postpartum Floor Nurse (L&D PP) Dallas, TX. This role involves providing specialized nursing care for new mothers and their babies within a busy postpartum unit. The position requires a compassionate and team-oriented professional to support patients during their postpartum recovery in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Job Details

  • Position Description: Travel RN for Mother/Baby (Postpartum) unit, providing care to new mothers and infants.
  • Certifications/Education Requirements: Must have BLS (Basic Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications; no minimum years of experience required; location in Dallas, TX.
  • Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Additional Information: Unit handles Maternity and Baby care including postpartum care, LC support, phototherapy, blood sugar checks, and IV antibiotics. The team comprises approximately 7-15 RNs per shift, supported by PCTs and sitters, with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:3 during couplets. The role involves weekend shifts 3-4 times per schedule; no call is required. The candidate may float as a resource nurse according to unit needs, though float may be rarely required.
