Job Summary
Endoscopy Lab (Specialty) - Dallas, TX. This position involves providing specialized care within an endoscopy unit that features six procedure rooms and thirteen pre/post-recovery bays. The role requires on-call availability, including one weekend per month and one weekday per week. The candidate will work in a fast-paced environment supporting adult and pediatric patients undergoing procedures such as EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, and bronchoscopy.
Job Details
- Position Description: On-call role based within the endoscopy unit, covering general procedures with a focus on adult and pediatric care.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; high school diploma or equivalent; current licensure in the state; no minimum years of experience required.
- Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per day, minimum 40 hours per week.
- Additional Information:
- Unit features six procedure rooms and thirteen prep/recovery bays.
- Staff includes 8 nurses and 4 technicians on day shift.
- Typical procedures performed include EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, and bronchoscopy.
- Type of equipment includes endoscopy systems and Meditech electronic medical records.
- Dress code is scrubs in royal blue.
- On-call responsibilities may include weekends and weekdays, with minimal call ins and restrictions on personal device use.
- Floating to other areas such as IR, PACU, and Day Surgery may be required.
- Candidate must meet the personnel profile for the endoscopy specialty and possess the necessary certification credentials.
