Job Summary
Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Nights Location: unspecified. This position involves providing specialized nursing care in an intermediate neuroscience unit caring for adult patients with neurological and neurosurgical diagnoses. It requires delivering acute and telemetry monitoring, managing ventriculostomies with intracranial pressure monitoring, and supporting patients with complex neurological conditions.

Job Details

• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
• Education and Experience: No minimum experience required; relevant neuro or ICU experience preferred.
• Location Requirements: No specific location restrictions.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours each, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: The unit, known as the Neuroscience Intermediate Unit (6 JCP), is a 47-bed facility that cares for adult neurology and neurosurgical patients requiring telemetry and advanced neurological monitoring. Patient diagnoses include stroke, central nervous system (CNS) autoimmune diseases, brain and spinal surgeries, and neurological trauma. The unit has received recognition as a Joint Commission Stroke Center of Excellence and is designated as a primary stroke center. Candidates should be prepared to contribute to a team delivering high-quality stroke and neurological care.
