Job Summary
The organization is seeking a Step Down Unit Registered Nurse (RN) to provide care within an acute care setting. This role involves working in a highly specialized environment, including Progressive Care Units (PCU), Medical-Surgical Telemetry, or Stepdown units, based on the candidate's skills and organizational needs. The position is scheduled for night shifts, with a focus on delivering quality patient care and ensuring optimal outcomes.
Job Details
- Position: RN Step Down (Specialty: Step Down Unit)
- Location: Not specified, working in an acute care environment on nights, with a schedule of 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; 2 years of experience in Progressive Care Units (PCU), Medical-Surgical Telemetry, or acute care; current certification for RN Step Down (PCU) specialty exam and skills; experience with EPIC electronic health records; ability to float within skill set or to sites within 40 miles as needed; valid drivers license, state ID, and professional references.
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours, minimum 48 hours per week, starting 09/14/2026 and ending 12/13/2026.
- Additional Information: The traveler will be placed on a unit where the greatest need exists, whether that is a PCU, Med-Surg Telemetry, or Stepdown, based on their skills. Credentialing requirements include completing the RN step-down specialty exam and skills verification.
