Job Summary
Step Down Unit RN Location: not specified. This position involves providing specialized care for patients in the step down, telemetry, or medical-surgical acute care setting. The role requires flexibility to be placed on units based on patient needs, utilizing skills in step down, telemetry, or medical-surgical nursing.

Job Details

Certifications, Education, and Experience Requirements: RN license; 2 years of PCU / Med-Surg Telemetry acute care experience; RN Step Down (PCU) specialty exam and skills completed; EPIC electronic health record experience; valid drivers license; ascension profile; 2 professional references.
Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Responsibilities: Provide patient care in a step down environment, float within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed, maintain credentialing requirements, and adhere to unit-specific protocols.
Additional Information: Travel experience preferred. The traveler will be placed on a unit where the greatest need is, whether it is a PCU or Med-Surg/Telemetry unit based on their skills.
