Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Nurse Massachusetts. This position involves delivering high-quality patient care through the nursing process in a hospital setting. The role includes administering medications, guiding ancillary staff, and ensuring safety and customer service standards are maintained.

Job Details

  • Position Description: Delivers patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation; administers and monitors patient responses to medications; guides patient care and ancillary activities; maintains professional standards.
  • Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification; successful completion of a pharmacology exam; documented attendance at Fetal Monitor Course every 2 years; current certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); recent obstetric experience within 2 years; ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Schedule: Days shift, 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Additional Information: Demonstrates proficiency in nursing informatics; assumes charge nurse role; participates in quality improvement and safety policies; maintains ongoing professional development; maintains confidentiality and represents the hospital positively in the community; performs other duties as assigned.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
