Job Summary
Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized nursing care for patients with complex medical needs, including those with ventilator dependence, trachs, stroke, TBI, respiratory failure, and COPD. The RN will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a hospital setting with a focus on respiratory and rehabilitative patient populations.

- Position Description: Replacement RN needed for a Long Term Acute Care setting, starting on 09/28/2026. The role involves working night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, across a unit with 24 beds at the Hartford Satellite Campus. The facility emphasizes respiratory care, rehabilitation, and complex medical conditions, with a patient population heavily focused on ventilated, trached, stroke, TBI, respiratory failure, and COPD patients. The environment is not traditional Medical/Surgical but specialized in long-term acute care.
- Required Qualifications: RN licensure, 3 years of nursing experience, prior travel experience preferred, and experience with respiratory/ventilated patients strongly preferred.
- Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Nurses will be responsible for various clinical tasks including IV starts, drips, blood administration, EKGs, medication titrations, glucose monitoring, wound care, trach care, suctioning, straight cath, foley care, port access, and central line dressing. Experience with respiratory and ventilated patients will be highly regarded. RNs do not manage ventilators as RTs handle vents. The RN may float to other units such as Respiratory Care Unit, Medically Complex Rehabilitation, or TBI units at nearby campuses as needed.
