Job Summary
Emergency Room Nurse ER Tribal Region. This position involves providing direct patient care in a busy Emergency Department staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with a focus on acute and critically ill patients. The role emphasizes assessment, triage, and delivery of comprehensive nursing care in accordance with applicable standards and organizational policies.
Job Details
- Position Description: Provides direct patient care to a service population of approximately 10,000, utilizing the nursing process and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Tasks include triage, administering therapeutic measures, operating medical equipment, and patient education.
- Required Qualifications: Associate degree, bachelor's degree, higher level degree or diploma from an accredited professional nursing educational program (accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education). Must have passed the National Council Licensure Examination. Must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. At least two (2) years of professional nursing experience, preferably with one (1) year in an Emergency Room setting. Must have current certification or willing to obtain ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP and CPR.
- Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Demonstrates professionalism, adheres to HIPAA regulations, and respects tribal/cultural traditions. Responsibilities include wound care, operating specialized equipment, documentation, and effective communication with the healthcare team.
- Certification and Licensing: All applicants will comply with applicable federal regulations regarding criminal records and child abuse background checks.
