Description

Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) RN Location not specified. This position involves providing advanced care for neonatal patients in a specialized unit, with responsibilities including managing complex medical conditions, administering treatments, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. The role requires flexibility to float to other pediatric units as needed.

Job Details:

Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
Education Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; California licensure in hand for RN position.
Location Requirements: Candidate must hold a California RN license.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) and level 3 & 4 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience.
Shift: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Responsibilities include: Administration of blood and blood products, medication management, arterial line management, assisting with lumbar puncture, blood glucose monitoring, breastfeeding support, use of high flow nasal cannula, ventilator management, patient/family teaching, placement and management of feeding tubes, assessment and management of neonatal conditions such as sepsis, necrotizing enterocolitis, neonatal abstinence syndrome, respiratory distress syndrome, and maintaining thermoregulation.
Additional job requirements: Willing and able to float to other pediatric units and facilities as needed.
Submission requirements: Must provide two references from recent employers at the time of application.
