Job Details

• Position Description: The Professional Staff Nurse is a Registered Nurse and a member of the care delivery team responsible for setting care standards and providing nursing care. The nurse manages and delivers activities for a group of patients and their families through independent judgment, communication, and collaboration with all team members. The role encompasses leadership, partnership, collaboration, and supervision. Key responsibilities include performing in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors, participating in quality improvement efforts, utilizing research and evidence-based practice, applying the nursing process within the framework of Relationship Based Care, formulating daily goals and a plan of care, demonstrating critical thinking, and practicing solid communication skills. The nurse also creates a healing environment, responds as a fully engaged team member, provides patient and family teaching, develops productive relationships, and communicates safety hazards effectively.

• Required Qualifications: RN license, BSN preferred, 2 years of ER experience, current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, PA Act 31, PA Act 33, PA Act 34, PA Act 73, Basic Cardiac Dysrhythmia Interpretation certifications, and applicable licenses.

• Schedule: Rotating shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.

• Additional Information: The role requires adherence to system-wide competencies/behaviors, active participation in quality improvement, an emphasis on patient-centered care, and ongoing communication with the care team to enhance safety and outcomes. The position includes responsibilities for patient education, team collaboration, and fostering a compassionate, healing environment.
