Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in Union Gap, WA This role involves providing urgent care in a small, modern emergency department with a capacity of 8-10 beds. The position requires experienced ER nursing skills to manage a diverse patient population, including trauma, cardiac, neuro, respiratory, psychiatric, and pediatric cases, with a focus on high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Location: Union Gap, WA
• Specialty: Emergency Room (ER)
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 48 hours per week. Shift start times vary from 0700 to 1900, with weekend rotation every other week and holiday expectations at approximately 50%.
• Required Qualifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, Advanced NRP, NIHSS, TNCC certifications; 2 years of ER experience (any trauma level); strong IV skills; experience in medication administration, chest tubes, central lines; ability to manage ventilated and intubated patients; knowledge of EPIC charting system; support for charge nurse duties.
• Support on the unit includes charge nurse, ED MD, ER Tech, front desk, and Phlebotomy, with RN-managed ventilator and Bipap care (training provided).
• Assisting with blood draws and charting is required; no RTs or pharmacists on site.
• Orientation consists of one hospital orientation day, one full day with the ER unit educator, 8 hours of respiratory class, and training on ventilator management.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ventilator management, vent/bipap training, and trauma response.
