Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry, located in the healthcare organizations facility, is a position focusing on providing high-quality nursing care to diverse patient populations including geriatric, medical/surgical, adult, and telemetry patients. The role involves self-studying telemetry strips, passing a basic dysrhythmia test, and delivering safe, effective care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education, and Experience: Valid license/certificate verification is required. EPIC electronic medical record experience in a similar unit within the last 12 months is mandatory. ACLS certification is required. Experience requirement: 0 years.
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Estimated work week is 36 hours, with potential overtime.
• Responsibilities: Deliver nursing care utilizing the nursing process, coordinate with the healthcare team, maintain high professional standards, and engage with patient populations including geriatric, medical/surgical, adult, and telemetry.
• Additional Requirements: Candidate must be prepared for self-study of telemetry strips upon acceptance. A basic dysrhythmia test must be passed in the first week to continue working on the telemetry/med surg unit. May be required to float to alternative campuses, including emergency departments or critical care units, especially when critical care experience is present.
