Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse Location: Varies. This role involves providing critical care in a Level 1 Trauma Emergency Department with a focus on trauma, stroke, and high-acuity patients. The position requires recent experience in emergency and trauma care, with flexibility to work various shifts in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license; BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and TNCC certifications; at least 2 years of recent ER/trauma Level 1 experience within the past year; and eligible to work scheduled shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Schedule: Rotating shifts with 12-hour hours; minimum 36 hours per week.
- Unit Notes: ER with 60 beds including fast track; bedside triage; moderate conscious sedation competency testing required; typical patient diagnoses include trauma, CVA, MI, high-risk OB, psych holds, and others.
- Additional Information: Must pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of offer; will be required to complete a pass/fail simulation lab on day 1 of orientation; float between two nearby ERs; wear navy scrubs; and adhere to hospital policies on holidays and weekend shifts.
