Job Summary
Medical Surgical Oncology Floor RN Night Shift Location unspecified. This position involves providing care for general medical-surgical patients, including oncology cases, post-operative patients, and those with complications such as infections or requiring chemotherapy administration. The role requires handling patients on telemetry, utilizing EPIC charting system, and working within a 36-hour minimum weekly schedule.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education, and Experience: BLS (AHA) certification; at least 2 years of nursing experience; valid license to practice nursing; willingness to work night shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week scheduled for 12-hour shifts.
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Unit Notes: 36 beds with typical RN:Patient ratios of 1:5-6. Nurse may need to work with patients requiring chest tubes, PleurX chest tubes, and chemotherapy.
• Responsibilities: Manage general medical-surgical patients, including post-op, oncology, and some psychiatric patients. Administer chemotherapy, monitor chest tubes, and interpret telemetry strips. Perform respiratory treatments with RT support for CPAP & BiPAP.
• Additional Information: Float rotation may be required. Charge nurse available 24/7 without patient assignments during day shifts; night shifts may include patient assignments. There are 3 CNAs per shift, who assist with patient care and can perform blood sugars.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates must provide a valid, unexpired drivers license.
