Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse position in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized critical care to adult patients with various diagnoses, including trauma, cardiac issues, substance abuse, sepsis, stroke, and respiratory distress. The assignment requires adherence to department policies and certification requirements.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education, and Experience: Active BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certifications; minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required.
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week.
- Responsibilities: Providing critical care to adult patients, including titration of cardiac, insulin, and sedation drips, interpreting and documenting strips, troubleshooting ventilator equipment, and ensuring patient safety.
- Additional Information: Candidate must hold a valid driver's license. Nursing staff may be responsible for assisting with nasal cannula to ventilator troubleshooting. Self-scheduling is available for core staff, while travelers are added to scheduling. Minimum of two holiday shifts required within the contract timeframe.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must be licensed and submit credentials accordingly. One shift of unit/department-specific orientation is provided. RTO requests of 7 days or fewer are considered upfront; additional requests will not be approved.
