Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in Northern California. This position requires a highly skilled healthcare professional to provide urgent and specialized care for a diverse patient population across Neonates, Adolescents, Infants, Adults, Pediatrics, and Geriatrics. The role involves participating in fast-paced clinical environments with a focus on patient safety and effective emergency interventions.
Job Details
- Position Description: 3-day shift, 0900-2130, with a minimum commitment of 36 hours per week. The assignment starts on 09/21/2026 and ends on 12/21/2026. This position requires working weekends and an orientation of 12 hours prior to start. Candidate must have a valid California license; a compact license is accepted.
- Required Qualifications: Valid California license, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support); at least 1.5 years of ER experience; experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, patient ventilation management, and strict adherence to isolation precautions.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge, trauma level I or II experience, community hospital background, and travel experience.
- Additional Responsibilities: Interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), care for ventilated patients, management of multisystem organ failure, and collaboration within interdisciplinary support teams including interpretation services and pharmacy.
- Schedule Details: The shift is Days, 12 hours per shift, working at least 36 hours per week.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must include responses regarding past employment at Providence facilities, provide two references covering the last 1 year, and confirm ability to float between sister facilities if needed.
