Description
Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse role in a healthcare facility. The position involves providing advanced patient care to adult and geriatric patients in a specialized ICU setting, with a focus on critical care procedures and teamwork. The assignment is scheduled to commence on September 21, 2026, and continues through December 21, 2026.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Education Requirements: Current state or compact license, 2 years of ICU experience preferred, with a minimum of 0 years required
- Patient Ratio Experience: 2/3
- Charting System Experience: Required, with Epic experience preferred
- Additional Skills: Accessing and managing ports, arterial line management, assist with chest tube insertion/removal, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, management of renal failure, continuous IV sedation, stroke management, infection prevention, ABGs interpretation, dysrhythmias interpretation, PPE/Isolation precautions, IV insulin protocols, management of multisystem organ failure, PICC line management, pre/post cardiac cath/intervention, procedural sedation monitoring, pulmonary artery line monitoring, starting and maintaining IVs, suctioning, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, ventilator management.
- Responsibilities: Providing critical care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, managing complex patient conditions, utilizing advanced medical equipment.
- Experience Required: 2 years of ICU experience preferred; travel experience preferred.
- Additional Information: The facility serves adults and geriatrics with a daily census of 8 patients, and has an interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams. Staff must have state or compact license in hand at time of submittal, and must complete onboarding modules within 48 hours of contract signing.
