Job Summary
Orthopedic Surgery Technician (OR Tech) located within the healthcare organization. This role involves assisting in surgical procedures, particularly in total joint, sports medicine, general, and orthopedic spine surgeries. The surgical technologist works under the direct supervision of a surgeon to ensure a safe operative environment and facilitates the efficient conduct of invasive procedures.

Job Details

• Certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting, trade or technical school (Certificate or Diploma), at least one year of previous experience preferred, with a minimum of 0 years required.
• Schedule: Day shifts, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include preparing supplies and equipment, scrubbing, gowning and gloving self, surgeon, and assistants, performing appropriate counts, assisting in draping the sterile field, passing instruments during surgery, maintaining sterile technique, and assisting with terminal cleaning and sterilization of instruments.
• Assisting in training new employees and students in the Scrub Tech role.
• The technologist is restricted from functioning as a circulating nurse or first assistant and is not permitted to administer medications or complete patient records.
• Position urgency: Normal.
• Position is open from 09/28/2026 to 12/28/2026.
