Description

Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse in an acute care hospital setting. This position involves providing specialized care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum, with a focus on high-risk obstetrical management and neonatal support. The role requires active engagement in patient monitoring, assisting with high-risk deliveries, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal maternal and neonatal outcomes.

Job Details

  • Position Description: Start date: ASAP. Ratios: 1:2. Experience requirement: 2 years. First-timers accepted. Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours, minimum 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid state license, BLS, NRP certifications, and at least 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with antepartum, labor & delivery, triage of obstetrical patients, use of Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring, and managing high-risk deliveries.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Assist with high-risk deliveries, circulate for C-sections, recover C-sections, and perform sterile vaginal exams. Maintain central lines, administer anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensives, insulin drips, and assist in neonatal care including postpartum couplet care.
  • Additional Information: Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on patient safety and interdisciplinary collaboration. Preference for those experienced with Obstetric protocols and neonatal procedures.
  • Submission Requirements: Must include responses regarding prior experience at Providence facilities, references for 1 year (6 months for CNAs) within the last 3 years, and confirmation of valid state licensure.
