Description
Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Technologist needed in an acute care setting. This position involves providing specialized surgical support within the operating room environment, including scrub and circulating duties for various complex cases. The role requires adherence to clinical protocols and collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Certifications: Must have NBSTA or NCCT certification on file at the time of submission.
- Education: Associates degree from Surgical Tech Program or equivalent certification.
- Experience: 4-5 years as a Scrub Technologist or combined operating room experience, capable of performing independently in orthopedic, neuro, and spine surgeries, including complex spine cases.
- Location Requirements: Locals accepted (75 miles or less from the facility).
- Schedule: Days shift, 10-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week, with variable hours based on need, including on-call duties, rotating weekends, and holidays. On call is at least 1 weekend per month. Report time is 30 minutes, scrubs are provided.
- Additional Details: Must have Epic experience. Active CT ORT certification is not required at submission but must be obtained before start. Mandatory COVID-19 vaccination and flu vaccination are required unless medical or religious declinations apply. BLS certification is required.
