Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Medical Nurse Night Shift Located within the healthcare organization, this position involves providing specialized nursing care in a Medical Intensive Care Unit environment. The ICU RN will support critically ill patients with complex conditions such as sepsis, ARDS, pneumonia, and more, requiring advanced clinical skills and proficiency in ventilated patient care.

- Shift: Nights, 12 hours shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Active Illinois nursing license or confirmation that application has been initiated; minimum of 1 year of ICU experience; certifications in BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) from the American Heart Association.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience interpreting EKG strips, using arterial and central lines, caring for ventilated patients, and titrating vasoactive medications.
- Additional Information: RNs will rotate through a comprehensive orientation program including Epic Electronic Medical Record training, shadowing, and preceptorship. Travelers may be required to float to stepdown or general medical units, with staffing support available 24/7 from intensivists and house supervisors.
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours weekly.
