Job Details

• Position: Labor and Delivery Nurse in a healthcare facility in Illinois.
• Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Current Illinois license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated; certifications including NRP, ACLS, BLS, and Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM); minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery nursing.
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, with a requirement of working at least 36 hours weekly.
• Additional Information: The role involves assisting with stabilization of newborns, monitoring fetal strips using Philips fetal monitoring systems, and functioning as a circulator during cesarean sections. The team includes OB techs who are certified nurse aides, and the unit operates 24/7 with in-house on-call physicians for OB. Floating to other units such as postpartum or triage may be required, and orientation lasts 1-2 days. Candidates must adhere to hospital dress code preferences and are responsible for participating in holiday and weekend rotations. The position complies with hospital policies on drug testing and requires passing a negative drug screen prior to onboarding.
