The Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in College Station, TX, involves providing specialized patient care in a 13-week assignment. This role requires a healthcare professional experienced in inpatient settings, with a focus on cardiac and telemetry care, working primarily during evening shifts to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details

• Position Description: The RN is a licensed professional responsible for coordinating patient care within the IMCU, utilizing the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate care tailored to each patients needs. The RN promotes safe passage through healthcare encounters and delegates interventions appropriately.
• Certifications/Education Requirements: RN licensure, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) are required.
• Schedule: Evening shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, current BLS and ACLS certifications, a minimum of 2 years of IMCU experience, telemetry experience, and cardiac drip management experience.
• Additional Information: The RN will work in a fast-paced inpatient environment, providing patient-centered care and applying clinical judgment to manage complex cases. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills, critical thinking, and proficiency in electronic medical documentation.
