Description

Job Summary
A Certified Operating Room Technician (ORT CERT) is needed in Juneau to support surgical procedures within the healthcare provider's facility. This role involves preparing and maintaining sterile fields, assisting surgical teams, and ensuring compliance with safety standards in a fast-paced, complex surgical environment.

Job Details

Position Description: Must have Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications at the time of submission. Responsible for scrubbing in on surgical procedures under professional nurse supervision, anticipating surgeon preferences, and maintaining sterile equipment.
Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED; completion of a technologist training program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs or equivalent; Surgical Technologist Certification (CST); current BLS certification; 1 year of experience preferred.
Schedule: Days shift with 10-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week.
Additional Information: Handles requests during surgery, participates in department committees, and develops educational programs.
