Description

Job Summary
Infusion Specialty Vascular Access Registered Nurse Location: Not specified. This role involves providing expert vascular access care in patients' homes, including ultrasound-guided line placements such as peripheral lines, midline catheters, and Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters. The position requires assessing patients needs, troubleshooting access issues, and supervising care in a home setting under nursing leadership.

Job Details

  • Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Experience: Minimum of 2 years of ICU or Emergency Room experience, some infusion experience preferred, Mid-line and PICC placement experience required, PICC Certification preferred, Valid drivers license, current auto insurance, working vehicle, and compliance with Maryland seat belt law.
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, daytime shifts from 9 am to 5 pm, 36 hours per week, 13-week assignment.
  • Responsibilities include assessing patient needs for vascular access, performing ultrasound-guided line placement, troubleshooting issues, and providing expert guidance on device management.
  • Must have a valid drivers license, auto insurance, and own a working vehicle.
  • On-call coverage includes Saturdays and Sundays specifically for the suburban campus, with a 30-minute response time.
  • On-call hours are compensated at an hourly rate, with callback rates applicable for call-back cases.
  • Prior employment with Johns Hopkins Health System facilities must be disclosed if applicable, with verification required before the offer.
