Job Summary
Electro Physiology Lab (EP LAB) Nurse in Winston-Salem, NC. This position involves providing specialized nursing care within the electrophysiology laboratory, supporting complex cardiac procedures including ablations, cardiac rhythm management device placements, and lead extractions. The role requires collaborating with physicians, fellows, and technical staff to ensure safe and effective patient care during invasive cardiac procedures.

Job Details

  • Position: RN (Registered Nurse) with EP Lab (Electrophysiology Laboratory) specialization.
  • Location: Winston-Salem, NC.
  • Schedule: 10-hour shifts, variable timing from 0600 to 1900, every 6 weeks cycle, averaging 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS and ACLS certifications. Experience in electrophysiology procedures, including ablations, cardiac rhythm management device placements, and lead extraction. Must have scrub experience for invasive procedures, be familiar with the use of X-ray equipment, sterile technique, vascular sheath management, and hemodynamic monitoring.
  • Additional Information: Support within the department includes physicians, fellows, vendors, and anesthesia. Department-specific equipment includes CARTO, Rhythmia, EPIC / Cupid, and other electrophysiology lab tools. The role involves patient-focused, team-oriented care with a commitment to excellence and inclusivity. Orientation will be provided, and scrubbing color is surgical green. Free parking is available. No float rotation required.
  • Requirements may include previous experience with moderate sedation, Isuprel drips, cardioversions, and intra-operative TEE.
