Interventional Radiology (IR) Nurse [Location]
This position involves assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting nursing care within the interventional radiology specialty. The role ensures high-quality patient-centered care by utilizing professional nursing skills, judgment, and knowledge to meet the physical and developmental needs of patients undergoing radiology procedures.

Job Details

  • Position Description:
    Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs. Reviews patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data, and reports abnormal results. Formulates a comprehensive plan of care, including discharge planning, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. Implements and evaluates the plan through direct patient care, delegation, and supervision. Documents all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely. Participates in ongoing education, research, and quality improvement activities within the clinical setting.

  • Required Qualifications:
    Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice, or a temporary/interim RN license, or a compact RN licensure, with BLS certification. Experience in the clinical area is preferred, with a minimum of one year working in an acute care hospital setting or within the past 12 months in a similar specialty.

  • Schedule:
    Days shift, 10-hour shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.

  • Additional Information:
    The role involves interacting with all levels of staff, physicians, patients, families, and external contacts, supporting patient safety and quality care. The nurse may supervise staff and workflow, promoting growth through mentoring and precepting as appropriate.
