Job Details

• Certifications Required: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) or Red Cross Certification
• Licenses Required: Registered Nurse license in the state of Alabama or a Compact license (Temporary licenses are not accepted)
• Education and Experience Requirements: Associate degree in nursing; 2 years of experience are preferred, but candidates with 18 months of experience working under the highest level of professional license and at least 1 year of recent experience in the specialty will also be considered; 0 years minimum experience required
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week minimum
• Experience required: 0 years
• Additional responsibilities involve floating to other units and hospitals as needed, supporting a nurse/patient ratio of 1:6, and working with a Team Leader to ensure staffing coverage
• The role supports patient care on a unit that specializes in medical and surgical patients, including those undergoing orthopedic procedures and general surgeries, with a focus on pain management, mobility, and complication prevention
• The position starts on 09/28/2026 and ends on 01/02/2027
