Job Summary
Post Partum Floor Nurse (L&D PP) Location: unspecified. This position involves providing care and support for women during labor, delivery, and the postpartum period. The nurse will work closely with the healthcare team to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate patient care in a busy postpartum setting.

Job Details

Shift: Days, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided), recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience of at least one year, graduate of an accredited nursing program, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), demonstrated ability to perform electronic fetal monitoring, IV skills including lab draws, high risk medication administration (Magnesium, Oxytocin, Insulin), urine Point of Care testing, capillary blood glucose testing, IStat, adult cardiac monitoring, newborn monitors including pulse oximetry and cardiac monitoring, heel sticks and venipuncture on newborns, newborn medication administration including IV, Bili-blankets/lights, radiant warmers, support for gynecological teaching, post-operative bladder training, maternal-newborn teaching.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in nursing or related field, minimum of three years of labor and delivery experience, minimum of three years of postpartum nursing experience, minimum of one year of medical/surgical nursing experience.
Additional Information: Must have ACLS certification.
