Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Medical specialist opportunity located in a high-acuity, fast-paced medical intensive care unit. The role involves caring for critically ill, medically complex patients with respiratory failure, multisystem organ failure, and other severe conditions, requiring advanced skills and responsiveness. The clinician will be responsible for managing a variety of procedures and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient care.

Job Details

• Certifications required: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
• Education and experience: No minimum experience required, but at least 1 year of ICU or relevant clinical experience preferred.
• Location requirements: Must have a valid compact state license, not accepting local candidates within a 50-mile radius.
• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include managing arterial lines, assisting with chest tube insertions/removals, ventilator management, administering blood products, monitoring and maintaining invasive lines, and responding to emergency situations such as code blue. Floating to telemetry units may be required based on census needs.
• Candidates must include responses regarding prior experience at Providence facilities, references covering the past 1 year, and be prepared to work and be flexible with the schedule related to holidays and floating requirements.
