Job Summary
Surgical Technician (Operating Room Technician) in ORT this position is based at a short-term acute care facility. The role involves supporting surgical teams by preparing operating rooms, handling instruments, and maintaining sterile techniques across various surgical specialties. The position offers opportunities for first-time travelers with a focus on orthopedics, general, neuro, thoracic, vascular, gynecology, urology, robotics, and ENT procedures.
Job Details
- Certifications & Experience: BLS certification, Washington State license, at least 2 years of relevant experience required.
- Schedule: Day shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 30 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications include BLS and WA License. Experience requirements: 2 years of surgical technician experience; familiarity with EPIC charting system is preferred.
- Additional Information: Candidates must be willing to work a start date of 09/28/2026, with contract ending on 12/28/2026. Possible on-call duties with 4 days per month. First-time travelers are accepted. Candidates should have experience with various surgical procedures such as abdominal hysterectomy, orthopedic surgeries, robotic surgeries, and others listed in the skills section.
- Submission Requirements: Must respond to questions regarding previous employment at Providence facilities and provide two recent references covering 1 year of work within the last 3 years.
