Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Specialist position available in an acute care setting. This role involves supporting a busy surgical unit with a variety of procedures including general, ENT, eye, orthopedics, robotics, trauma, vascular, and pediatric cases. The position requires collaboration with surgical teams to ensure smooth case flow and patient safety.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid license to submit; ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS (American Heart Association); 2 years of experience in the specialty; 2-3 previous travel assignments; orthopedics experience; EPIC electronic medical record proficiency; pass the arms in and out for robotics.
• Experience or 'Must have' skills: 2-3 years of relevant operating room experience, including passing arms in robotics, with prior travel experience.
• Responsibilities: Circulating cases, scrub assisting for RN staff, supporting emergent and scheduled surgical procedures, and float to outpatient surgery.
• Certifications: Must have ACLS and BLS certifications; PALS preferred.
• Schedule details: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Monday through Friday, with varied start times during the day/evening, including weeknight and weekend on-call rotations (30-minute response time).
• Additional Information: Willingness to wait for license submission; charge nurse/house supervisor duties may be part of the role; float rotation may be required; scrub dress code provided.
