Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) Location: unspecified. This role involves providing direct nursing care within a healthcare facilitys Emergency Department, ensuring the delivery of safe and effective patient care. The position requires maintaining clinical knowledge, coordinating care within interdisciplinary teams, and supporting patient education and discharge planning.

Job Details

  • Position Description: The Emergency Room RN provides direct nursing care according to organizational policies, ensuring patient needs are met through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The role involves patient rounds, developing personalized care plans, and responding promptly to changes in patient conditions.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC). All certifications are required prior to start date, except TNCC and ENPC which are upon qualification into respective courses.
  • Experience: 1 year of clinical experience in an Emergency Room.
  • Shift Schedule: This position follows a rotating schedule with 12-hour shifts, totaling at least 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid RN license in the state or jurisdiction, minimum of 1 year ER nursing experience, and current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC or ENPC upon course qualification.
  • Additional Information: The RN will perform daily patient rounds, coordinate emergency interventions, promptly report observations, and participate in discharge planning and patient education. The assignment duration is 13 weeks.
