Job Summary
The organization is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Step Down nursing in a healthcare facility. The RN will provide advanced patient care to a diverse adult population, focusing on critical and complex conditions such as cardiac, vascular, renal failure, and post-procedure recovery. The position involves night shifts, requiring candidates to be adaptable and proficient in acute care settings.

- Position Description:
The RN will work in a Step Down Unit with a patient census averaging 24 across 40 beds. Responsibilities include managing adult patients with diagnoses such as sepsis, stroke, post stent, and post pacemaker placement. The RN must be competent in arterial lines, titrate drips including Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin, and interpret telemetry strips. The unit utilizes equipment such as vents, Cpap, BiPap, and high-flow oxygen. - Certifications and Qualifications:
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required. Valid RN license required. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care or step down setting. Must possess drivers license and have competency in arterial lines and titratable drips. - Schedule:
Night shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM, totaling 48 hours per week. - Additional Information:
The role requires flexibility, teamwork, and good communication skills, particularly in a multicultural environment. Candidates will participate in a one-day orientation and are expected to be adaptable to floating between units, including ICU or MedSurg, as needed. Overhead lifts, vein finders, bladder scanners, and portable lifts are available on the unit.
