Job Summary
PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) Nurse [Location] This position involves providing specialized post-operative care to patients recovering from anesthesia in a Level I trauma center environment. The role entails monitoring patients' recovery, administering medications, and educating patients and families on post-surgery care.

Job Details

• Shift Schedule: Days, 3/12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, starting on 09/21/2026 and ending on 12/19/2026.
• Required Qualifications: Must live at least 50 miles away; current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state/district; minimum 2 years recent ICU and PACU experience, with recent Level I trauma center PACU experience. Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program; BSN highly desired. Certifications include PALS, BLS, and ACLS.
• Preferred Qualifications: CPAN, TNCC, CCRN certifications are highly desirable.
• Responsibilities: Monitor post-operative patients recovery from anesthesia, record vital signs, observe for side effects, administer medications, update electronic medical records, and educate patients and families about post-surgery care.
• Additional Information: Day shift; weekend on-call shifts required, including Saturdays (7a-7:30p) and rotating night calls (7p-7:30a). Candidates should possess critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently.
• Submission Requirements: Applicants must demonstrate recent PACU/Pre-op experience and at least 2 years of ICU experience.
