Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH) nurse needed in the area. This position involves providing specialized care to critically ill patients, including those with recent open-heart surgery and a mix of ICU diagnoses, in a hospital environment that features a 24/7 hospitalist and intensive care services.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Neurological Intensive Care (NIHSS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Willingness to wait for license submission. No minimum years of experience specified, although a minimum of 2 years' experience is preferred.
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, every other weekend, with schedules made approximately 6 weeks in advance and subject to final review by management.
• Responsibilities: Care for ICU patients with recent open-heart surgeries, mixed ICU diagnoses, and monitoring using GE monitors. No patient assignments are taken by the nurse during shifts. Unit orientation includes a one-day specific to the unit.
• Additional Information: Experience with fresh open hearts and recent ICU patient care is required. The hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts in a 13-week assignment. Charting is done in Cerner electronic health record system.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
