Job Summary
The organization is seeking a Telemetry (TELE) registered nurse for a position in a unit specializing in Medical Oncology with Medical Surgical overflow patients. This role involves providing high-quality patient care in a newly opened unit, with a focus on monitoring and managing various medical conditions using EPIC electronic health record systems.

Job Details

• Shift: Days; 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Certifications and Qualifications: BLS certification, at least 2 years of clinical experience as a registered nurse, proper licensure to submit credentials, and experience with EPIC electronic health record system.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bio/Chemotherapy certification is preferred but not required.
• Responsibilities: Provide patient care for medical oncology and overflow medical surgical patients, including comfort care medications such as narcotics, benzodiazepines, and titratable drips like Heparin and Cardizem (up to 10ml/hr); read strips (pending approval); administer and titrate medications according to patient needs.
• Additional Information: Experience with ERIC EPIC system is mandatory. Staff may need to float to similar departments as needed. Unit features include CPAP and BiPAP equipment, with no high-flow devices. The unit is a new department opening December 10th, with orientation covering 2-3 shifts. Requests for start dates, RTO approvals, and other scheduling details should be coordinated accordingly.
