Job Details
- Position: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse
- Specialty: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
- Schedule: Nights shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week; includes four weekend shifts within a four-week schedule, holiday rotation, and potential to float to a sister facility.
- Required Qualifications: Valid BLS certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, at least 2 years of recent Level II NICU experience within the past 6 months, and current licensure to submit application.
- Additional Job Notes: Self-scheduling, unit-specific orientation with two shifts and preceptor, managing babies born at 28 weeks and above with high-level care needs including respiratory complications, vents, and various neonatal diagnoses.
- Shift Notes: Shifts start at 7 AM with huddle and bedside report.
- Wildlife: Floats are not out of the NICU.
- Certifications: BLS and NRP required.
- Responsibilities: Managing ventilators, monitors, Pharmacy 24/7 on site, and supporting neonatal intensive care treatments including respiratory support, blood transfusions, and neonatal procedures.
