Description
Job Summary
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse Location: unspecified. This role involves providing specialized care in a Level II neonatal nursery, caring for babies 32 weeks gestation and above. The position requires a minimum of two years of NICU experience, with Level 2 NICU experience preferred, and offers the opportunity to work in a compassionate environment supporting neonatal patients with conditions such as CPAP, High Flow, and Sepsis.
Job Details
- Certifications: BLS Certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), STABLE; Willing to submit license; Certified neonatal PICC team available for IV placements.
- Education and Experience: Minimum of 2 years NICU experience required; Level 2 NICU experience preferred.
- Location Requirements: Willing to wait for license submission.
- Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week, starting September 14, 2026, through December 21, 2026.
- Responsibilities: Provide care for neonates on CPAP, High Flow, and other respiratory supports; manage high-risk deliveries; assist with initial and ongoing neonatal assessments.
- Additional Information: NICU nurses start all of their own IVs; float to a sister hospitals NICU when needed; clinical skills include handling neonatal ventilators and monitoring strips; orientation consists of two shifts; no specific experience requirement beyond two years; no explicit minimum experience years listed, but at least 2 years in NICU is mandatory.
