Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Open Heart Specialist position available in a healthcare facility. The role involves working within a cardiovascular operating environment, providing specialized care during open heart procedures, and supporting various surgical specialties including orthopedics, general surgery, ENT, and urology.

Job Details:

• Position Description: Work as part of the cardiovascular operating room team embedded in the general operating room, supporting cases such as CABG, vascular, and lung surgeries. When not assigned to cardiovascular cases, perform duties in general, orthopedic, urology, and ENT procedures.
• Required Qualifications: BLS Certification; minimum of 2 years of experience in operating room settings, specifically with open heart procedures; valid drivers license.
• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, starting at 07:00 AM, Monday through Friday. Call is required, with a response time of 15 minutes, averaging 10-15 days per month, including nights and weekends.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience scrubbing for open heart surgeries and working in a general OR.
• Additional Information: The role involves working with a team of OR technologists, scrubbing for cardiac and vascular cases, and performing in a fast-paced environment with a focus on patient safety and surgical success. The hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, and shifts may include weekends and holidays as needed. The EMAR system used is EPIC.
