Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (RN) Wausau, WI. This 13-week assignment offers an opportunity to work on a Medical and Pediatrics (MAP) unit within a healthcare facility. The role involves providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment with rotating day and night shifts.

Job Details

• Position Description: Medical Surgical Floor RN at a healthcare facility in Wausau, WI.
• Shift Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours, variable days/nights, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: WI RN License, BLS - American Heart Association or American Red Cross, minimum of 2 years of experience, charting experience with EPIC, Trauma level II experience highly preferred, associate degree or certificate.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field.
• Responsibilities: Providing patient care on the Medical and Pediatrics unit, managing adult conditions such as respiratory illnesses, stroke, neurological issues, gastrointestinal illness, diabetic management, renal failure, urinary tract disorders, sepsis, wound care, clotting disorders, infectious diseases, and alcohol withdrawal. Managing patient ratios of 1:4-5 during the day shift and 1:6-7 at night, while collaborating effectively with the healthcare team and ancillary staff.
• Additional Information: The unit requires a resilient, social, and adaptable candidate capable of managing change independently, asking questions, and maintaining a positive attitude. During flu season, declined vaccination mandates wearing masks at all times.
