Job Summary
The organization is seeking an ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Cardiovascular specialized healthcare professional in a fast-paced, Level 1 Trauma setting. This role involves providing critical care to patients with complex conditions such as heart failure, STEMI, pulmonary emboli, and arrhythmias, requiring experienced and flexible nursing staff.

  • Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS; 2 years of minimum experience
  • Education Requirements: No specific degree or education listed; experience requirement: 0 years
  • Experience or Skills: Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a busy hospital environment, with previous travel experience preferred. Experience managing ventilators, pressors, hemodynamics (PAC, CVP, arterial lines), sheaths, IABP, Impella, CRRT, and occasionally paralyzing and sedating patients. Capable of troubleshooting ventilators, managing drips such as epinephrine, norepinephrine, vasopressin, dobutamine, milrinone, amiodarone, and others.
  • Responsibilities: Managing critically ill patients, performing ventilator troubleshooting, titrating drips, interpreting telemetry strips, managing hemodynamic monitoring, and responding to emergency situations.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: Must be open to floating to similar units, with a flexible schedule and willingness to work every other weekend and holidays as needed. Epic documentation is required, and a license to submit will be provided.
