Job Summary
Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) ICU Trauma Madison, Wisconsin. This position involves providing advanced care for critically ill adult patients in a Level One Trauma Center with a focus on trauma, surgical, and medical patients. The role requires teamwork, compassion, and expertise in intensive care therapies in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education, and Experience: WI Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact State RN license; at least 2 years of ICU experience within the last 3 years; ACLS, BLS certifications; Epic experience required.
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts between 1900 and 0730, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Responsibilities: Join a dedicated team providing specialized critical care including advanced life support therapies such as ECMO and continuous dialysis. Maintain proficiency with telemetry testing and ensure patient safety for adult trauma and surgical patients.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with arterial line management, chest tube procedures, ventilator management, continuous IV medications, and trauma patient care.
- Other Requirements: Ability to pass telemetry testing with strict passing criteria; floating as needed; patient ratios of 2 for days, nights, and weekends; in-depth understanding of trauma and critical care procedures.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must be prepared for a telemetry exam and meet all specified skill and experience criteria.
