The Healthcare Supervisor Level 1 position is based in the healthcare setting and is responsible for overseeing clinical staff and ensuring the delivery of quality patient care. This role involves supervising Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees while maintaining safety and operational standards in the facility.
Job Details
- Position Description: The Healthcare Supervisor Level 1 maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees. The role emphasizes patient and employee safety, fostering a safe work environment and adherence to safety policies.
- Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification prior to first shift, valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification prior to first shift, and a minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience.
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: The role involves performing nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission, participating in patient rehabilitation programs, initiating discharge planning, and providing patient education. The supervisor also supports team building, manages supplies and charges, and may assume charge responsibility following orientation. Professional development through continuing education and self-study is encouraged.
