Job Summary
The ICU Neurological specialty nurse is located in an acute care setting and provides specialized care for patients with neurological conditions. This position involves working within the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), utilizing clinical expertise to support patient recovery and safety, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Job Details

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) ICU Neurological, Nights shift
Location: Not specified (organization operates in a healthcare setting requiring licensed RNs)
Required Qualifications: IL License, CPR, ACLS, NIHSS certification, graduate of an accredited nursing program, education verification, 0 years of experience required
Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
Additional Information: The RN will care for patients in the Step-Down ICU and ICU units, with a focus on neurological and trauma cases. Candidates must have ICU experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center and be willing to float to Step-Down ICU. Responsibilities include administering medications and treatments, documenting care, developing patient care plans, participating in performance improvement activities, and supporting patient safety through critical thinking and communication.
