Job Summary
The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) at a healthcare facility location. This role involves providing comprehensive patient care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients within a fast-paced, Level II Trauma Center environment. The RN will deliver clinical excellence through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes, ensuring adherence to quality standards and facilitating collaborative multidisciplinary care.
Job Details
- Position: Registered Nurse (RN) in IMCU (Intermediate Care Unit).
- Location: Reno, NV.
- Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts per week, minimum of 36 hours.
- Required Qualifications: NV RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), minimum of 2 years of IMCU or Stepdown experience, experience with vasopressors, titratable drips, art lines, neuro-stepdown patients, procedural sedation, thrombolytics, and trach management. Experience with ECG/Telemetry exams required, with passing of rhythm strip interpretation exam necessary. Prior travel experience of one 13-week assignment required.
- Additional Qualifications: Medical or Neuro ICU experience preferred.
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, weekly guaranteed hours: 36.
- Additional Responsibilities: May need to float to other units based on organizational needs up to their competency level. May be required to work major holidays with at least two of the three major holidays available. Must be flexible with schedule variations, including weekends and holidays.
